Ever since our return from Europe in 2010 we have had a desire to go back at least one more time before our bones and muscles seize up and we are unable to hike and bike in the Alps. As each year passes we are feeling the slowing effects of aging bodies but want to travel while we are able. Plans began to fall into place after Christmas 2011 with plane tickets, Dave watched the prices rise and fall then rise again and hold steady so we decided the time was ripe to buy.
Plans call for us to fly into Munich, Germany on the 11th of September, 2012. It is a relatively small airport out in the country about a half hour north of the city of Munich. The lease vehicle we have secured has an office 5 minutes away and we are picked up and dropped off at the airport - a nice convenience. Leasing was chosen again this time as it is approximately a third less cost than regular car rental. A major plus though is the fact that all insurance, collision, damage and waiver charges are included with unlimited mileage. The vehicles are all brand new Renaults with a wide variety of styles and sizes to choose from. We chose the smallest diesel with 5 speed manual shift - 60 MPG.
